Danceworks Devon are absolutely delighted to let you know that the Strictly Rowcroft event held on Saturday 17th May 2025 has raised an incredible £176,382.16 for Rowcroft Hospice!
12 local celebrities paired up with experienced dancers from Danceworks Devon to compete for the Strictly Rowcroft 2025 title. They worked incredibly hard to progress from complete novices to accomplished dancers in the space of 4 months (thanks to Pauline’s dedicated teaching efforts and their Danceworks dance partners).
The lineup featured a host of familiar local faces:
- Adele Hearne, Landlady at The Blue Anchor in Teignmouth (dancing with Thomas Haine)
- Andy Banner-Price, co-owner of The 25 Boutique B&B in Torquay (dancing with Molly Fitzpatrick)
- Barry Young, Managing Director of Brixham Fish Market (dancing with Alexandra Jay)
- Cameron Mills, Professional Singer & Owner of Cameron Mills Group (dancing with Ann Ringrose)
- Caroline Voaden, MP for South Devon (dancing with Mark Joyner)
- Cheryl Baxter, Head of Commercial Property at Kitson Boyce (dancing with Ant Moorhouse)
- Hannah Needham, Solicitor & member of Wiltshires Babbacombe (dancing with Paul Newbolt)

- Robbie Savage, co-founder of Rev Comps (dancing with Catherine Joyner)
- Tracey Kennedy, Deputy Manager at Rowcroft’s Totnes shop (dancing with Simon Gilboy)
Performing live before an expert judging panel, including Strictly Come Dancing’s Flavia Cacace, Strictly choreographer Jenny Thomas, and Stairway to the Stars producer Chris Chambers, the couples did an amazing job and the audience loved every minute of their performances.
A huge thank you to everyone who was part of this wonderful extravaganza, from all our amazing dancers to the generous sponsors, partners, volunteers, and of course, the audience. Your support helped make Strictly Rowcroft a truly outstanding success.
The evening began with a word of thanks from Rowcroft and a sensational opening showdance by Danceworks Devon dancers, which really got the audience in the mood. We then met our 3 judges for the evening followed by the dancing couples. Each dancer then took to the dance floor to perform 2 dances – a ballroom dance and a latin dance, with some extremely enthusiastic support from the excited audience. After comments and scores from the judges the audience were encouraged to vote for their favourites.
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for – the winners of Strictly Rowcroft 2025 were…
Barry Young and Alexandra Jay!
After wowing both the judges and the audience with their unforgettable performances, Barry has been crowned the Strictly Rowcroft 2025 champion! Congratulations to both Barry & Alex – you truly danced your hearts out for Rowcroft, and the audience loved it.Thank you for bringing your passion, dedication and incredible talent to the stage tonight all in aid of supporting our local community.
A special Strictly Rowcroft Fundraising Award went to Robbie Savage for his truly incredible fundraising efforts – well done Robbie and the RevComps team!
